RICHMOND, Indiana – Earlham College men's soccer closed its Spring 2021 regular season with a 2-0 loss to Defiance College, Wednesday evening at Darrell Beane Stadium.
The Quakers slipped to 2-7-0 with the loss, while Defiance improved to 4-4-1 with the win.
Chase Stiner and Jarren Casto notched the goals for the Yellow Jackets, with Casto also getting credit for the assist on Stiner's goal.
Earlham keeper
Tyler Smith finished the game with 11 saves. Defiance charted a total of 22 shots while Earlham tallied nine. Each team had four corner kick opportunities.
The Quakers, who finished eighth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season standings, will play one final game as part of the HCAC's Soccer Championship Week next week. Game time and opponent will be announced by the HCAC on Thursday.
