HANOVER, Indiana – The Hanover Panthers held Earlham College scoreless over the first 30 minutes of play on its way to a 15-3 win over the Quakers, Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium.
The Panthers had a 6-0 lead at the intermission, including a natural hat trick by Hanover's Jackson Wheeler.
Earlham's
Logan Reihing finally solved Hanover goalie Sean O'Meara a mere 11 seconds into the third quarter with an unassisted strike.
Hanover extended its lead to 9-1 before
Avery Rush-Elias would add to Earlham's tally with a man-down goal with 4:19 remaining in the third quarter. After four more Panther goals, Reihing would notch his second of the night off a Rush-Elias assist with 10:21 showing on the game clock.
The Panthers had a 46-19 advantage in total shots and had 37 ground balls to the Quakers' 18. Earlham was 20-of-31 on clear attempts.
Earlham men's lacrosse enters the home stretch of its 2021 regular season with three games in eight days, starting with a rematch against Anderson University slated for Wednesday, April 21, at 4:00 p.m. at Darrell Beane Stadium.
