BROCKPORT, NY. - In a battle of unbeatens, the Earlham College field hockey team posted a 4-1 victory over SUNY-Brockport on Friday, Sept. 10.
The Quakers are now 4-0 on the season, while the Golden Eagles fall to 3-1.
Junior
Regan Seeman scored twice in the contest and helped the Quakers take game one of their three-match weekend visit in New York.
Bergdolt picked up the first goal in the opening period at the 11:42 mark with an assist from
Molly McKellar on a penalty corner. It was her third score of the season.
Earlham had a pair of goals in the second quarter to take control of the affair. Seeman scored her first goal of the contest at 17:39 as
Reilly Swislosky assisted. After the Golden Eagles cut their deficit to one, Seeman added an unassisted score for her second goal of the day and third of the fall.
The last goal of the match was in the final period as
Jalyn Kelsey scored her first goal of the season at 49:21 with assist from Bergdolt.
Meg Murphy had six saves in goal for the Quakers.
Earlham had an 18-1 advantage in shots with a 15-11 edge in penalty corners.
The Quakers return to action at Medaille College on Saturday, Sept. 11. The match in Buffalo starts at 1 p.m.
