Quakers field hockey wins again, pushes season record to 5-0

AURORA, NY - The Earlham College field hockey team scored a season-high total in goals as the Quakers posted a 10-0 win over Wells College on Sunday, Sept. 12.

With the win, the Quakers are now 5-0.

After Denise Bergdolt scored in the opening period, Earlham added three goals in each quarter the rest of the way.

Bergdolt added another goal to go with her three assists for the contest. For the season, Bergdolt tops the Quakers with five goals and six assists. She has 22 goals in her career.

Guin Schalck and Reilly Swislosky both finished with two goals. Schalck has three goals this season, while Swislosky score for the first time this fall.

Regan Seeman, Sydney Schmitt, Jalyn Kelsey and Olivia Layne all had one score apiece. For Seeman, it was her fourth score of the season.

Schmitt and Kelsey now have two goals this season with Layne picking up her first.

Earlham goalkeeper Meg Murphy did not record a save as the Quakers led 53-0 in shots and 25-0 in penalty corners,

The Quakers return to action at home against Transylvania University on Saturday, Sept. 18. The contest in Darrell Beane Stadium begins at noon.
