DANVILLE, Ky. - Two goals in the third quarter proved to be the difference as the Earlham College field hockey team had its six-match winning streak snapped on Sunday, Sept. 19.
The Quakers held No. 17 Centre College scoreless in the first half for the first time this season.
In the second half Megan Coomes scored both goals for No. 17 Centre College that helped give Centre the 2-0 victory over the Quakers.
Earlham is now 6-1, while Centre remains unbeaten at 6-0.

Meg Murphy had five saves for the Quakers.
The Quakers return to action at Wittenberg University on Tuesday, Sept. 21. The non-conference contest begins at 7 p.m.
Later this season, the two teams will play their North Coast Athletic Conference match at Earlham on Oct. 30.
