ANGOLA -- The Earlham College women's soccer team suffered a 3-1 loss at Trine University on Saturday afternoon.
The Quakers fell to 1-5 while the Thunder improved to 9-0-1.
The first goal for Trine came in the 28th minute. The Thunder added its second goal in the 41st minute after a string of shots.
Earlham scored a consolation goal in the 81st minute from
Tess Cunningham. The assist was credited to
Jadie Colvin.
The Quakers were out-shot 23-5 and lost out 8-1 on corner kicks.
Cunningham led Earlham with three shots, two of which were on goal.
Becca Hancock collected 12 saves between the pipes.
Earlham will begin HCAC competition at Hanover College on Wednesday. The match is slated for a 3:30 p.m. start.
