RICHMOND – The Earlham College field hockey team fell to Centre College 4-0 in Darrell Beane Stadium on a busy Saturday morning.
The Colonels jumped out to an early lead with a goal in the sixth minute on a penalty corner play.
Centre added two more goals after penalty corner chances in the second quarter.
The final goal came on a breakaway play in the 36th minute of play.
Earlham was outshot 18-2 on the day and trailed 11-2 in penalty corners.
The shots were recorded by
Regan Seeman and
Guin Schalck, both in the final quarter.
Rachel Alma collected four saves in goal.
The Quaker season continues on Saturday at Wooster for the start of the North Coast Athletic Conference slate. The game is scheduled to start at noon.
