RICHMOND – The Earlham College field hockey team fell on Pride Night to Denison University 2-0 in Darrell Beane Stadium. 

The visitors posted a goal in each of the first quarters, and led 2-0 through the entirety of the second half. 

Alyssa Johnson recorded the only shot of the evening for the Quakers with an attempt off of a fast break in the 25th minute of play. Her shot was deflected by the defense and bounced wide right of the Denison goal. 

The Big Red recorded 13 shots, and led the Quakers in penalty corners 6-1. 

Rachel Alma collected six saves in goal. 

EC continues its season on Saturday at Wittenberg University. The contest is slated to start at 4 pm in Springfield, Ohio.
