RICHMOND – The Earlham College women's soccer team fell in HCAC competition to Transylvania University on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 5-0.
The Quakers fell to 2-7-2 (2-5 HCAC) while the Pioneers improved to 6-3-4 (3-2-1 HCAC)
Eva Lyon clocked two shots for the EC offense, both of which landed on frame for a Transy save.
The best attempt on goal for Earlham came on a through ball to Lyon in the 72nd minute. Lyon's initial shot was saved by Transylvania, but
Raegan Travelsted got a second-attempt shot that was blocked away by the defense.
The Quakers were outshot 19-4, and trailed in corner kicks 8-2.
Makayla Hurey collected seven saves in goal.
The Quakers will continue their conference slate on Saturday at Manchester University. Kickoff is slated for 1 pm against the Spartans.
