GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Earlham College field hockey team dropped its final road contest of the season at DePauw University 4-0 on Wednesday evening.
The Quakers were outshot in the contest 8-1, and trailed 4-1 in penalty corners.
DePauw scored its first goal at the 9:55 mark of the first quarter on a penalty corner play. The lead grew in the opening minute of the second quarter. DePauw added two more goals in the third frame.
Rorey Murphy recorded the only shot of the day for EC in the third minute of play.
Rachel Alma collected two saves, and
Meredith McGraw made one defensive save.
The Quakers will return home on Saturday to host Ohio Wesleyan University on Senior Day in Darrell Beane Stadium. The contest is slated for a noon start time.
