GAMBIER, Ohio – The Earlham College field hockey team concluded its opening weekend of North Coast Athletic Conference action with a 1-0 loss to Kenyon College in the final minutes of play on Sunday.
The Owls notched their score in the 50th minute of play, on their eighth shot of the day.
Guin Schalck and
Jalyn Kelsey both recorded shots on goal for the Quakers.
Rachel Alma collected four saves in the effort, including a busy first quarter with three saves.
The Quakers will be back in action on Saturday for Homecoming on campus. The field hockey squad will begin a busy day of action with the first contest of the day starting at noon.
