ADA, Ohio – The Earlham College women's lacrosse team fell to Ohio Northern University 20-2 on the road on Wednesday evening.

The Quakers fell to 1-2 while the Polar Bears improved to 4-4.

Josie Whorton and Mollie Lyon scored the goals for Earlham off of two and three shots respectively.

Mackenzie Kotch collected 10 saves in goal for Ealrham.

After three ONU goals in the opening seven minutes, Lyon found the net for the first Earlham goal with 5:35 remaining in the frame. The Polar Bears led 10-1 near the end of the second quarter before Whorton hit the second Quaker goal of the game. 

After leading 11-2 at halftime, Ohio Northern stayed clean on defense through the remainder of the contest to win 20-2. 

Earlham will be back in action in Darrell Beane Stadium against Trine University on Saturday at 4 pm.
