RICHMOND – The Earlham College women's lacrosse team battled the Thunder of Trine University to a 19-1 loss on a blustery afternoon in Darrell Beane Stadium. 

The Quakers fell to 1-3 while the Thunder improved to 4-1. 

The Thunder scored nine goals in the opening 20 minutes of play and held possession against Earlham to drain clock time as the game progressed. 

Mollie Lyon netted the sole goal of the game for Earlham in the second frame of play. The junior from Dayton, Ohio won the draw control after a Trine goal and carried the ball downfield for an unassisted score.

Mackenzie Kotch recorded nine saves in goal. 

The Quakers will host Alma College on Thursday next week for a 3:00 game in Darrell Beane Stadium.
