Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

WLAX tamed by Tigers

RICHMOND – The Earlham College women's lacrosse team fell to Wittenberg University in Darrell Beane Stadium 13-4 on Wednesday evening. 

The Quakers fell to 1-6 while the Tigers improved to 5-5.

Mollie Lyon led the Quaker offense with one goal and one assist. Serena Pisacano led the Earlham defense with four caused turnovers and six ground balls. She also added a goal on the offensive effort. 

Mackenzie Kotch played all 60 minutes in the cage and recorded 11 saves. 

The Tigers scored three goals in the middle of the first quarter, with the Quakers getting on the board with 2:55 remaining in the quarter from Lyon. 

Both teams scored a pair of goals in the second quarter with Pisacano and Hannah Heyboer scoring for the home squad. Wittenberg carried a 5-3 lead into halftime. 

The Tiger lead ballooned in the second half, with four unanswered goals in the third quarter. Jillian Schlieper recorded the final Earlham goal with 5:38 remaining in the contest. 

The Quakers will be back in action next Wednesday for a home game against DePauw University.
