HANOVER, Ind. –The Earlham College women's lacrosse team continued its HCLC season at Hanover College on Thursday afternoon. The Quakers fell by a final score of 13-3.
Earlham fell to 1-9 (0-2 HCLC) while Hanover improved to 6-5 (2-0 HCLC).
The Quakers were led by a mix of youth and experience on the offensive side of the field. Freshman
Josie Whorton had an effective day with two goals and one assist while senior
Serena Pisacano scored one goal and dished out an assist.
Hannah Heyboer recorded her first start in the cage and collected 11 saves.
Earlham was outshot 35-12 on the afternoon.
Whorton netted the first Earlham goal of the contest midway through the second quarter to make the score 5-1.
The Quakers will return to action on Saturday at Mount St. Joseph University, the start time is slated for 1 pm in Cincinnati.
