CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Earlham College track and field team competed in the Mount St. Joseph Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The meet serves as the final tune-up before the conference championship next weekend.
The Quakers finished in seventh place at the end of the day.
The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships are next weekend at Hanover College, the Quakers will compete on both Friday and Saturday in the event.
Here are some of the top performances of the day for EC:
Women's long jump:
Madison Huelskamp recorded her best jump of the day on her first leap of competition. Her mark of 4.72 meters earned her a fourth-place finish.
Men's high jump:
Blessed Shumba came home with a fourth-place finish in the high jump after clearing 1.7 meters with just one attempt.
Men's shot put:
Conner Hubbard scored points with a fifth-place result in the shot put after recording a throw of 13.28 meters.
Women's high jump:
Olivia Kyrk scored a sixth-place finish in the high jump by clearing 1.4 meters on her first attempt.
Women's triple jump: Huelskamp scored again in the triple jump with a leap of 9.02 meters, earning fifth place.
