RICHMOND – The Earlham College women's lacrosse team concluded its 2022 regular season with a loss to Transylvania University in Darrell Beane Stadium with a final score of 18-2.
The Quakers conclude their regular season 3-10 (3-3 HCLC) while the Pioneers improve to 6-9 (4-0 HCLC).
Josie Whorton recorded both of the Ealrham goals unassisted. She also led the Quakers in caused turnovers with three, and picked up three ground balls.
Mackenzie Kotch collected 18 saves in the loss.
The Quakers were outshot 50-10 and trailed in ground balls 34-13. Transylvania scored three of its goals from free position attempts.
The Quakers will qualify for the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference tournament as the fourth seed and will travel to the top seed next Wednesday. This will be the second trip to the conference tournament for Earlham since joining the HCLC in 2019.
