The Quakers fell to 2-7 while the Hornets improved to 4-5.
Sam Sargent led the Quaker offense with three goals off of seven shots.
Elijah Gamber netted the first Quaker goal of the evening in the first quarter.
Jacob Bandfield dished out the sole assist for Earlham on the evening.
Brady Shaw went 7-20 on faceoffs.
Emmitt Shaughnessy collected 14 saves in the cage.
The Quakers were outshot 56-15 and trailed in ground balls 60-34.
The Quakers begin Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference action on Saturday against Mount St. Joseph University. The game is slated for 1 pm.
