RICHMOND – The Earlham College women's lacrosse team welcomed the 2022 Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference season with a 20-4 loss against Franklin College in Darrell Beane Stadium.
The Quakers fell to 1-7 (0-1 HCLC) while the Grizzlies improved to 2-6 (1-0 HCLC).
Jillian Schlieper led the Quakers with two goals from three shots.
Serena Pisacano took the most attempts on goal for Earlham with six shots and one goal and
Claudette Roskamp returned to action with a goal.
Maya Claggett anchored the Earlham defense with five caused turnovers and five ground balls.
Mackenzie Kotch tallied 10 saves in the cage.
The Quakers will return to HCLC competition on Wednesday at Hanover College. The game start time is slated for 4 pm.
