GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Earlham College field hockey team was defeated 4-1 in a rematch of the North Coast Athletic Conference semifinal matchup from last season against Denison University on Wednesday afternoon.
While trailing 1-0,
Sydney Schmitt scored the lone goal for Earlham in the 19th minute on a penalty corner play from
Regan Seeman.
The Quakers were outshot 28-3 and trailed in penalty corners 20-2.
Rachel Alma made nine saves after starting in goal before
Keegan Grabow finished the contest with two saves.
The Quakers return to action on Sunday to face off against Allegheny College on the road for an 11 am start time. Earlham will return to Darrell Beane Stadium next Friday to host Rhodes College at 3 pm.
