RICHMOND – Coming off its most successful season in program history, the Earlham College field hockey team returns to Darrell Beane Stadium this fall for the 2022 season.

THE SCHEDULE

After the opening weekend in Wisconsin, the Quakers will return to Richmond to host the College of Wooster on September 10. Earlham will then take a three-game road trip to Transylvania, Denison, and Allegheny.

Three of the final four non-conference games will be in Richmond against Rhodes, Kenyon, and Centre, before the NCAC slate begins at Wooster.

The Quakers host Allegheny on Homecoming weekend at 12 pm, and will send off their seniors against Ohio Wesleyan on October 29.

PRESEASON POLL

The Quakers were picked to finish fourth in the preseason coaches poll with 52 total votes and one first-place selection. Denison and Ohio Wesleyan tied for first place in the poll with 72 total votes and six first-place votes between them.

THE PLAYERS

Guin Schalck led all returning players in goals last season with nine. Schalck earned NCAC honorable mention status for her performance on the field in 2021.

Regan Seeman was also productive on offense with six goals and two assists. Two of her goals were also the deciding difference in Quaker victories.

Karina Steitz will return to anchor the Quaker defense for her senior season. The defender from Antioch, Ill. logged the most minutes on the field of any Quaker last season with 1,139. She made two defensive saves and logged action as a goalkeeper in a close game against Kenyon.

THE COACHES

The coaching staff from 2021 returns for another season with head coach Nicole Volgraf heading in to her second year leading the Quakers. Arantxa Rosainz Caloca moves to assistant coach after serving as a graduate assistant last season.
