WTEN wins first doubles match at Manchester

Box Score NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Earlham College women's tennis team continued its Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference slate against Manchester University on Saturday morning. The Quakers were defeated on the court 6-2 by the Spartans. 

Maddie Cherry and Faith Silver picked up the first doubles win of the season for Earlham with an 8-5 win in No. 1 doubles. 

Cherry also won at No. 1 singles with a score of 6-2, 6-2. 

"On a chilly windy morning Madisen and Faith played great doubles to pick up our first doubles win of the year." Said head coach Todd Tucker. "Great day for Earlham as the women are learning more each week about NCAA tennis."

The Quakers will be back on the court next weekend at the ITA Regional event in St. Louis, Mo.
