HANOVER, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team began its Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference schedule with a 9-0 loss at Hanover College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Panther offense got going early with its first goal in the fourth minute, and five goals in the first half of play.
Mallory Smith and
Noelle Hooper recorded the only shots on goal for Earlham on the afternoon, both in the final 30 minute of action.
Maddie Coyle collected eight saves in her first career start in goal.
Earlham will be back in action on Saturday at home against Mount St. Joseph University. Kickoff is slated for 1 pm in Matlack-Messer Stadium and the men's contest will follow at 3:30 pm.
