MEQUON, Wisc. – The Earlham College field hockey team dropped its opening game of the 2022 season at the University of Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon 2-1.
The Falcons scored a goal in each of the first two quarters to lead 2-0 going into the halftime break.
Earlham got on the scoreboard in the third quarter after a goal by Guin Shalck which was assisted by
Regan Seeman on a penalty corner.
The Quakers didn't record a shot until the third frame of play, but took six attempts in the period.
Rachel Alma tallied 17 saves in goal.
Earlham continues its weekend in Wisconsin tomorrow against Marion College. The contest is slated for 11 am central time.
