Holder scores career high at Manchester

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Earlham College men's basketball team dropped a conference game to Manchester University 84-73 on Saturday afternoon. 

James Holder led the Quakers with a career high 17 points and only one missed field goal. The freshman also led EC in rebounds with eight, just one shy of his career high. Jaden Terry and Tommy Makabu also reached double digits with 13 and 12 points each. 

After trailing 6-2 in the opening three minutes, Earlham scored a 7-2 run with a dunk from Holder on a fast break to take the lead. Manchester then scored a 16-4 run in the following four minutes. After shooting 29% on field goals in the half, the Quakers went into the halftime break trailing by double digits, and unable to comeback in the second stanza. 

Earlham will be back in action on Wednesday evening against Franklin College at the Grizzlies. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 pm .
