Women's tennis drops four-hour battle with Virginia Wesleyan

Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. – The Earlham College women's tennis team continued its Virginia trip with a 5-4 loss in a four-hour battle with Virginia Wesleyan University.

Payton Dugan scored a win at No.1 singles with a 6-0, 6-2 final score. Maddie Cherry also win at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-2. Natalee McCann went to a tiebreaker at No. 3 singles with a 6-7, 6-2, 6-2 loss. 

Cherry and Elizabeth Hoff won at No.1 double 8-7 with an 8-6 tiebreaker. Dugan and McCann scored a win at No. 2 doubles 8-1. 

The Quakers conclude the fall portion of their season with a 2-5 record, and will begin the spring slate at the University of Chicago on February 2.
