RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College volleyball team fell to No.16 Transylvania University 3-0 in Druley Performance Gym on Wednesday evening.
Caylee Brandes led the offense with 10 kills and no errors for a .476 attack percentage on the evening.
Ava Walters dished out 17 assists, and led the defense with nine digs.
Maria Young led the Quakers with three block assists.
Earlham totalled 24 kills and a .079 hitting percentage.
After a 25-20 score in set one, the Quakers struggled offensively in the second frame, and only reached 11 points. A strong start in set three saw EC take an 8-1 lead early, but the Pioneers recovered to take a 25-18 win.
Earlham will be back in action on Saturday in Druley Performance Gym with senior day. The Quakers host Bluffton at 1pm, and Wooster at 5pm.
