DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Earlham College men's basketball team began the holiday weekend with a 79-59 victory over Defiance College in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
Earlham was led by
Ken Walker with 22 points and four rebounds, and
Joffrey Nunnally with 19 points and four boards.
Milan Kennedy,
Mike Williams and
Jordan Stolle all brought down six rebounds.
The Quakers made their presence known early in the game with a 15-3 lead after seven minutes of action. Earlham was accurate on 50% of field goals and 29% of 3-pointers on the afternoon. Earlham then went on to lead 43-22 at halftime.
The second half began with a 9-2 run for the Quakers who held a 20-point advantage the entire half. The lead stretched out to 33 points after a layup by
Aidan Temple with 6:13 remaining.
Earlham is set to begin 2024 on Wednesday against Transylvania University. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 pm in Druley Performance Gym.
