DELAWARE, Ohio – The Earlham College women's tennis team began the spring portion outfits season with an 8-1 loss at Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon. 

Maddie Cherry served as the No.1 single for the Quakers, falling 7-6, 5-7, 6-1 on the day. Katie Conner won No.5 singles 0-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Cherry joined Mia Wong in the doubles matchup, falling 8-4 to the Bishops. 

The Quakers will be back in action next weekend for their first home match on the newly-resurfaced varsity tennis courts on campus. EC will be hosting Berea for a 3 pm match.
