RICHMOND – The Earlham College women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 contest to Bethany College in Matlack-Messer Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Quakers fell to 1-3 on the season.
Bethany notched the only goal of the game in the 32nd minute of play on a loose ball in the goal area. EC goalkeeper
Makayla Hurey collected a save on the play, but was beaten by the second-attempt.
Despite being outshot 12-3 in the opening half, the Quakers won the shot battle in the second half 3-2.
Isabel Slone led the Quakers with two shots on the day, the freshman placed one on frame.
Hurey brought in five saves in the goal.
Earlham will be back on Wednesday evening with a road game at Muskingum University. Kickoff is slated for 5 pm.
