RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team held the conference-favorites scoreless for 58 minutes in the season opener on Wednesday. The Quakers fell 4-0 to Hanover College in Matlack-Messer Stadium.
Makayla Hurey collected a career-high 13 saves in goal.
Earlham was outshot 29-2 on the afternoon, and fell 8-3 in corner kicks.
Liz Burley and
Mallory Smith both landed one shot on goal.
The Quakers will continue their season on Saturday against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Matlack-Messer Stadium.
