RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College field hockey team dropped a close 1-0 battle to Washington & Jefferson College in Darrell Beane Stadium on Saturday afternoon. 

After a 0-0 first quarter, the Presidents notched the game-winning goal in the second minute of the second quarter on a penalty corner opportunity. 

Beatrice Meeks led the offense with two shots, and the only Quaker shot on goal. 

The Quakers were outshot 8-5 on the day. 

Ainsley Kemp made two saves in goal. 

The Quakers host Allegheny College in Darrell Beane tomorrow at 12 pm.
