CARMEL, Ind. – On Monday, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced Makayla Hurey as this week's women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week. 

Hurey collected 28 saves on the week with a .903 save percentage.

On Saturday, Hurey held Mount St. Joseph scoreless on 40 shots for a 0-0 tie against the conference leaders. The Lions had won their three previous HCAC games with an average of five goals scored per game. The senior collected a career-high 18 saves in the game. 

On Wednesday, Mak played all 90 minutes against Anderson with 10 saves and three goals allowed. 

This is the second HCAC Player of the Week honor this season for Hurey. 

Earlham continues action on Wednesday at home against Transylvania University in Matlack-Messer Stadium.
