WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Earlham College women's basketball team dropped its Quaker Bowl matchup 83-45 at Wilmington College on Wednesday evening.
Berkley Shelton led the Quakers with her second straight double-digit points game. Shelton also led the team in rebounds with seven.
Amari Wright scored eight points and brought in five rebounds, while
Amari Bradford scored five points with six boards and two steals.
Wilmington took a 7-2 lead in the opening two minutes, but Earlham responded with a 5-0 run to tie the game. Leading 15-14,
Lovie Malone hit a layup to give EC a 17-13 lead with 12 seconds remaining in the frame.
Wilmington began the second quarter with a 16-2 run to take a 32-19 lead. The hosts outscored Earlham 21-8 in the frame. Earlham scored a 7-0 run in the third quarter to bring the score to 45-38.
The Quakers will be back in action on Saturday in Druley Performance Gym against Kuyper College. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 pm.
