RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's basketball team is set to begin its 2024-25 campaign at Capital University on Saturday afternoon.
THE SCHEDULE
Earlham begins with a three-game road trip before hosting the Melissa Johnson/HOPE Classic in Druley Performance Gym on November 22-24th. The Quakers welcome Carnegie Mellon, DePauw and Hanover on the weekend. The conference schedule begins with a road game at Transylvania University on December 4 at 7:30 pm. The Quakers will then play HCAC games every Wednesday and Saturday until the holiday break. Earlham will have a December trip to Georgia, taking on Oglethorpe University on the 20th, and Berry College on the 21st. HCAC play resumes on January 4th against Franklin College in Druley. Earlham will conclude its season on February 19th at Rose-Hulman at 7:30 pm.
THE PLAYERS
Ken Walker was named HCAC Newcomer of the Year last year after placing on the second team all-conference list. Walker led the Quakers with 477 points on the season. As a freshman, he appeared in all 25 games, and started in 24 contests. Ken led the Quakers in numerous offensive stats on the season, including points, field goal percentage, 3-pointers made, free throw percentage, assists and steals. He was also top-three on the team in 3-point percentage, rebounds and blocks. Averaging 19.1 points per game, Walker scored double-digit points in all but one game on the season, and he eclipsed 10 points in 22 straight games to end the season. In HCAC games, Walker averaged 20.9 points per game, which was the top mark in the conference. Incoming transfers

PRESEASON POLL
The Quakers earned 10 votes in the HCAC Preseason Poll. Earlham placed just behind Bluffton (24 votes), Mount St Joseph (26 votes) and Berea (29 votes).
THE COACHES
Joe Scheuers will return for his sixth season leading the Quakers along with
Brian Bennett in his second season. Brandon Miller and Jim Elting join the coaching staff for their first season with the Quakers.
