RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's basketball team fell to Mount St. Joseph University 63-57 in Druley Performance Gym.
Berkley Shelton led the Quakers with 15 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks.
Amari Wright had her second double digit points game of the season with 14 points and two steals.
Bailey Gibson collected 12 boards and tallied five assists.
Earlham shot 50% on field goals in the opening quarter, and stayed with the Lions through the first 10 minutes. The Quakers ended the third quarter trailing 50-42 after a 6-0 run.
Midway through the final frame, Earlham scored a 9-1 run to take a 56-54 lead over the conference frontrunner. After a free throw by Gibson put the Quakers up 57-56, the Lions scored seven points while shutting down Earlham in the final two minutes.
Earlham continues play on Wednesday evening at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at 7:00 pm.
