RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's tennis team fell to Indiana University East 5-1 in a windy matchup in Glen Miller Park.
Payton Dugan got the win of the day for the Quakers at No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 6-0 final score.
Maddie Cherry took a 6-3, 6-3 loss at No. 1 singles. As a team, Dugan and Cherry fell 6-1 at top doubles.
Elizabeth Hoff took her matchup at No. 3 singles to a tiebreak with a 6-0, 4-6, 7-6 loss. Hoff also put up a fight at No. 2 doubles with
Natalee McCann with a 6-4 loss.
The Quakers will be back in action on Sunday with a tri-match at Kenyon College. The Quakers will take on the Owls at noon, and battle Otterbein University at 4 pm.
