RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's lacrosse team scored a 12-11 win over Centenary College on Wednesday afternoon in Darrell Beane Stadium.
The Quakers improved to 4-3 while the Gents fell to 1-7.
Mark Resig exploded on the scene for six goals and one assist. The freshman registered his first career goal in the second quarter of play.
Robert Gift scored five goals with two assists, and
Jacob Bandfield scored once.
Donnie Lunardini Jr. dished out three assists.
Donovan Shea caused six turnovers and picked up seven ground balls.
Ethan Upton collected 10 GBs and caused four turnovers.
In goal,
Braden Greeno made 10 saves.
Trailing 10-8 heading into the final frame, the Quakers scored four straight goals for a 12-10 lead in 13 minutes of game time. The Gents capitalized on a man-up opportunity with just over a minute remaining, but could not tie the game.
Earlham will continue play on Saturday at La Roche University at 4 pm.
