PITTSBURG, Pa. – The Earlham College men's lacrosse team was in full force offensively in a 29-1 win at La Roche University on Saturday afternoon.
The Quakers improved to 5-3 for the most wins in a season in program history. The Quakers also broke the program record for most goals in a game, beating the 2022 squad's mark of 15 goals against Concordia Chicago. Additionally,
Mark Resig broke
Sam Sargent's record with 11 goals in a single game.
Robert Gift also etched his name into the record book with nine assists.
The Quakers outshot the Redhawks 102-10, and had a 94-17 advantage in ground balls. Earlham did not register a clear attempt on the day.
Resig led the offense with 11 goals on 22 shots, and three assists. Gift added seven goals, and nine assists.
Ryan Polack scored a hat trick with three goals and three assists and 13 ground balls.
Zach Price went 21-of-24 on faceoffs, and scored two goals.
Donnie Lunardini Jr. caused three turnovers and picked up 12 ground balls. In an uneventful day in goal,
Braden Greeno made two saves on three shots.
The Quakers scored double digit goals in the second quarter of play, and led 17-0 at halftime.
Earlham will begin the HCLC slate on April 3 at home against Hanover College. Game time is set for 7 pm in Darrell Beane Stadium.
