FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Earlham College baseball team began its weekend series at Franklin College with a pair of losses at the Grizzlies on Saturday.
GAME ONE: EARLHAM 2 FRANKLIN 14 (7 Innings)
Braden Lewis threw 5.2 innings out of the bullpen in game two with eight hits and two strikeouts.
Sean Jeffries went 1-for-2 with a stolen base and a run scored. Mitchel Roether was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a walk.
The Quakers pounced early with a run in the top of the first inning after Jeffries worked his way to second on a steal. Trailing 11-1 in the top of the fourth inning,
Ian Bullis hit an RBI-single to center field for
Reece Zonts to come home.
GAME TWO: EARLHAM 1 FRANKLIN 18 (7 Innings)
Kyle Jeffries recorded two strikeouts in three innings with the start. Earlham then rotated arms for the final three innings with seven total pitchers seeing action.
Quin Adelson reached base on a walk, and later scored in the top of the sixth inning.
The Quakers face off against the Grizzlies for the series finale tomorrow with first pitch scheduled for 12 pm.
