Softball falls to Transylvania

-RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College softball team continued conference play with a pair of losses against Transylvania University in Ellie Bewley Stadium on Saturday afternoon. 

GAME ONE: EARLHAM 1 TRANSYLVANIA 5

Tatum Rickert threw a complete game with three strikeouts and five earned runs on six hits. 

Bo Shelton went 2-for-3 with a double, and Keely Hubbard had an RBI on a sacrifice fly. 

GAME TWO: EARLHAM 0 TRANSYLVANIA 2

Morgan Cooksey tossed a complete game with two earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts. 

Nikki Alston went 1-for-2 with a stolen base. 

The Pioneers scored two runs in the first inning before being held down by Cooksey. 

The Quakers host Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Tuesday for a doubleheader beginning at 3 pm.
