FON DU LAC, Wis. – The Earlham College field hockey team opened its season with a 5-1 loss at Marian University on Saturday afternoon.
McCarley Keish put the Quakers on the board in the fourth minute of the second quarter with a goal assisted by
Meredith McGraw.
The Sabres tied the game at one in the 23rd minute, and took the lead in the 29th minute.
Sydney Schmitt led the offense with three shots.
The Quakers were outshot 17-4.
Making her first career start in the cage,
Ainsley Kemp collected six saves.
The road trip continues tomorrow for Earlham with a noon ET matchup with Concordia University Wisconsin.
