RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team improved to 2-1 in HCAC action with a 2-1 win over Bluffton University on Wednesday afternoon in Matlack-Messer Stadium.
The Beavers snuck a goal in on a bending corner kick in the 17th minute of play, but the Quakers responded less than a minute later with a goal from
Mallory Smith on a through ball by
Tessa Petty.
Diane Scalise added the game-winner in the 57th minute on a one-touch shot from a cross by
Sammy West.
Smith led the offense with four shots with two on frame, while Petty followed with three shots.
Liz Godfrey made eight saves in goal.
Earlham is set to host Transylvania University on Saturday for Homecoming in Matlack-Messer Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 1 pm.
