CARMEL, Ind. – On Wednesday, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the all-conference teams and special awards for the 2025 volleyball season.
Head Coach
Lauren Horton earned her third HCAC Coach of the Year honor from the conference after securing the Regular Season Championship for the Quakers. Earlham posted a 20-8 record, with an 8-1 conference mark to claim the No.1 seed heading into the conference tournament this week.
Madison Bizjak was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year along with Lily Ebright from Rose-Hulman. Bizjak broke the Quaker record for most digs in a season with 669 and counting. Bizjak is also on pace to break the record for most digs per set in a season at 5.87. The Quaker libero has a .951 reception percentage this season, a team-high 42 aces, and 102 assists.
Addison Piatt placed on the first team All-HCAC for her efforts as a six-rotation player. Piatt has scored 333 kills with a .222 attack percentage and 22 blocks. When rotating into the back line, Piatt has collected 430 digs and served up 40 aces. Piatt has been targeted 789 times on serves, and committed an error on just 23 attempts for a .971 reception percentage.
Caylee Brandes led the Quaker offense this season with 361 kills, a .223 attack percentage, and 54 blocks. The junior placed on the All-HCAC first team for the second consecutive season. Brandes has collected 75 digs on the season, and posted a .963 reception percentage.
Aniyah Harrington was named to the first team all-conference as a six-rotation player. Harrington scored 332 kills with a .190 hitting percentage and 34 blocks. The senior has also served up 27 aces, and has collected 339 digs in the back row.
The Quakers finished the season with a 20-8 record, and an 8-1 mark in conference play. Earlham finished in a tie with Transylvania for the top spot in the conference, but earned the No.1 seed for postseason play due to the head-to-head win over the Pioneers in the regular season. Earlham hosts Bluffton University tonight at 7 pm in Druley Performance Gym in the first round of the HCAC Tournament. If the Quakers win tonight, they will host the HCAC Semifinals on Saturday, and the HCAC Championship match on Sunday in Druley Performance Gym.
