CARMEL, Ind. – On Thursday, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the men's and women's soccer all-conference teams and special awards.
The Earlham women's soccer team placed three athletes on the all-conference teams.
Mallory Smith led the Quaker offense with six goals and two assists. The senior scored in five separate contests, and had the game-winner in the season finale at Berea to send the Quakers to the HCAC Tournament.
Diane Scalise scored two goals, including the first goal against Hanover since the 2013 season. The junior midfielder also dished out one assist. Scalise started 17-or-18 games, and played over 1,200 minutes.
Abigail Blake was named to the third team all-conference in her freshman season. Blake saw action in every game, with 11 starts and 1,100 minutes logged.
The Quakers ended the season with a 5-12-1 overall record and a 4-4-1 mark in conference play, qualifying for the first HCAC Tournament since 2012 for the women's soccer program.
