KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Earlham College men's basketball team dropped an overtime matchup at Kalamazoo College 73-68 on Saturday afternoon.
Bud Davis scored a career-high 26 points in just 27 minutes of action, with five assists and one steal.
Patrick Hardimon scored a career-high 12 points while bringing down a team-high seven rebounds.
Tommy Reddick and
Connor Smith also reached double digits with 10 points each.
The Quakers shot 48% on field goals in the first half, contributing to a 34-29 lead for the visitors at the break. Trailing 63-57 with just under six minutes remaining, Kalamazoo went on a 9-3 run to tie the score at 66 with 2:37 remaining.
The Hornets hit a free throw to tie the game at 67 with 1:23 remaining, and both teams were held scoreless through the end of regulation.
Kalamazoo went on a 4-0 run to start the five-minute overtime, with Earlham mustering one point at the :07 mark.
The Quakers continue play on Tuesday at Muskingum University. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 pm.
