CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Earlham College men's basketball team took a narrow loss at Mount St. Joseph University in HCAC action on Saturday afternoon.
Ken Walker continued his hot streak with 30 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. In his last four games, Walker is averaging 26.75 points and six rebounds per game.
Landen Hale led the team in rebounding with nine, while scoring 11 points.
After a slow start, the Quakers trailed 14-3 just seven minutes into the game, Earlham then recovered, and put together a 6-0 run over the next two minutes. Trailing 31-14, the Quakers ended the half on a 12-2 scoring run.
MSJ maintained its lead, and was up 56-42 with just under nine minutes remaining. The Quakers then strung a 14-3 run, capped off by a four-point play from Walker in the far corner, to trail by just four points with 3:46 remaining. The teams then went blow-for-blow, with the Lions holding a narrow lead through the contrast, hitting 4-of-4 free throws in the final minute.
The Quakers continue play on Wednesday evening in Druley Performance Gym against Berea College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
