CARMEL, Ind. – On Tuesday, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced Vanessa Akuaku and Ivan Wularu as this week's women's and men's tennis Athletes of the Week. 

Akuaku led the Quakers with a 2-0 record as the No.1 singles this week. Akuaku won her match against IU East 6-2, 6-1, and won her singles at Maryville 6-2, 6-3. In doubles play, Akuaku took a 7-6 (8-6) win with Lawrencia Manu against IU East.

Wularu went 2-0 against Maryville on Friday, taking a 6-4, 6-2 win at No.1 singles, and a 6-3 win at No.1 doubles with Dreek Saha.

The Men's tennis team continued action with a 6-1 win over Manchester this afternoon. Both tennis teams take on Anderson University tomorrow at 3 pm in the Gene Hambrick Varsity Tennis Center.
