CARMEL, Ind. – On Wednesday, the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference announced the postseason All-Conference teams and special awards. The Earlham College men's lacrosse team garnered seven selections on the all-conference teams, and one special award.
Taylor Lanzillo was named HCLC Coach of the Year after his second consecutive trip to the HCLC Postseason. In his third season leading the program, Lanzillo has the highest winning percentage for a head coach in program history.
Liam McGlynn earned a spot on the first team All-HCLC as a freshman LSM. McGklynn led the Quaker defense with 40 caused turnovers and 78 ground balls. Liam also has nine goals on the season, and three assists. In addition to his midfield duties, McGlynn also has 31 faceoff wins.
Ethan Upton also got a first-team nod from the Quaker defense. The junior caused 34 turnovers and picked up 52 ground balls this year. He also contributed four goals and two assists offensively. Combined, McGlynn and Upton accounted for 40% of Earlham's caused turnovers.
Elijah Adamson earned second team recognition as a defender with 31 caused turnovers and 49 ground balls. Adamson added one assist offensively.
Ryan Dolafi had a 3-4 record in goal as a freshman, and placed on the second team All-HCLC. Dolafi posted a .524 save percentage and 10.98 goals against average for the season in nine starts, with 110 saves.
Elijah Gamber placed on the second team for his best offensive season as a Quaker. Gamber scored a career-high 28 goals, and dished out six assists. Three of his goals were game-winners, including the final goal in an 11-10 win over Anderson. The grad student also picked up 37 ground balls.
Robbie Gift scored a spot on the second team after leading the Quaker offense with 32 goals and 19 assists. Gift took a team-high 129 shots with a .597 shots on goal percentage, and scored one game-winner.
Ryan Polack rounds out the Quaker selections on the second team. Polack scored 11 goals, and dished out 12 assists in the midfield this season. He also caused 13 turnovers and picked up 32 ground balls.
The Quakers take on Hanover College tonight at 4 pm in the opening round of the HCLC Tournament.
