CARMEL, Ind. – On Tuesday, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference named Vanessa Akuaku as the final HCAC Women's tennis Athlete of the Week for the 2024-25 season. 

Akuaku led the Quakers in a 2-0 week to end conference play. The freshman went a combined 3-1, taking a 6-2, 6-3 win over Anderson, and a 6-2, 6-1 win over Franklin in No.1 singles. In doubles play, Akuaku and Lawrencia Manu took a 6-3 win over Anderson, and a 6-2 loss at Franklin. With a pair of wins this week, Earlham is hosting an HCAC Quarterfinal match for the first time since the program was revived in 2022.

The Quakers host Franklin College tomorrow for the HCAC Quarterfinal match at 4:30 pm.
